Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician

The Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician is a specialized program designed to equip trainees
with the skills, knowledge and attitude required to assist ophthalmologists in providing eye
care. This program focuses on the practical and technical aspects of eye care, including eye
examinations, diagnostic testing, and assisting in surgical procedures. Upon completion,
graduates will be equipped to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including eye clinics,
hospitals, and optical centers.

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate
grade of C – (Minus).
Or
o National Certificate Level 5 in Optical Technology
Or
o Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications
authority (KNQA)
