Welcome to the social work Department. Social workers are experts who help people develop their skills and their ability to use their own resources and those of the community to resolve problems. We prepare you to work in various settings including children’s agencies, general and psychiatric hospitals, school boards, correctional institutions, welfare administration agencies, government and County departments. You can also venture into private practice.

Diploma in Social Work & Community Development

This programme provides transformative education about the theory and practice of social work and community development in a global context.  Trainees develop a critical understanding of global social issues such as social exclusion, poverty, environmental degradation, and disasters. Since its inception the college has graduated social workers who have made a positive impact in the lives of the individuals, families and communities around the world. Graduates secure employment opportunities in International and local non-governmental organizations government institutions, hospitals and privately owned organizations dealing with social and community development.

Holders of a diploma in social work and community development can advance their studies to a degree level in the same field.
