Is health important? Health is defined by the World Health Organization as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” It’s asserted that physical and mental well-being is a human right, that enables  a life without limitation or restriction. When an individual is sick/ unwell they feel restricted and helpless.

Good news is, health can be restored through various healthcare interventions available globally.  However, the delivery of these health interventions/services requires people who are well trained and skilled to implement safely.  Health workers include doctors, nurses, clinical officers, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, healthcare assistants among others.

One has to undergo relevant training in order to be equipped individuals with the right knowledge, skills and attitude to become competent healthcare professional.. Our mission at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital College is to deliver competent and exceptional graduates who positively impact the health sector.
