Dental X-rays

Dental X-Rays

This procedure is used to diagnose problems with the teeth. The machine uses low X-ray dose to produce quality images to help the dentists treat and give care to the patient.

NWCH - CT Scan

Computed Tomography (CT) Scans

Also known as Computed tomography (CT) is a painless and relatively safe  medical imaging procedure that uses x-rays and digital computer technology to create pictures of the body. It combines many X-ray images with the aid of a computer to generate cross-sectional views and, if needed, three-dimensional images of the internal organs and structures of the body.

It can image every type of body structure at once, including bone, blood vessels and soft tissue. These procedures enables doctors to detect adverse patients’ conditions such as tumours and cancers with a high degree of accuracy. Body scans requiring abdominal preparations are performed on appointment basis.

Emergency services are available 24 hours a day. Appointments are done on special cases such as  CT angiography and pyelograms.

NWCH - ECG Unit

ECG Unit

The ECG machine is used to record electrical activity of the heart at the skin surface. The machine carries out both basic and stress ECG. These tests determine any heart condition such as high or low heart rate and hence advice the doctor on the method of treatment to use. This service is available across all our branches.

Fluroscopy

Fluoroscopy Procedures

These are special x-ray procedures that show a continuous x-ray image on a monitor much like a x-ray movie to examine moving body structure. Fluoroscopy, as an imaging tool, allows doctors to look at many body systems, including the skeletal, digestive, urinary, cardiovascular, respiratory, and reproductive systems. This procedure is available only at our Hurlingham Branch.

Echocardiography

Echocardiography (Echo)

Echocardiography is a test that uses sound waves to produce live images of your heart. This test allows the doctor to monitor how your heart and how it is functioning. The images can help them spot: blood clots in the heart, fluid in the sac around the heart and problems with the aorta, which is the main artery connected to the heart.

C-arm Image Intensifier

C-arm Image Intensifier

C-arm image intensifier is used in medical care during orthopaedic and trauma surgeries. At our Adams Branch we have a mobile image intensifier which uses X-rays to produces a live image feed which is displayed on a TV screen. It aids in surgery by displaying the structure not visible and aids in accurate placement of implants.
