TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Eligibility
- This package applies only to cash-paying clients. Insurance and direct corporate clients are excluded.
- The SHIF maternity package applies and is netted off the package price as outlined.
Discounted Prices
- Normal delivery: Previously KES 31,250, now KES 25,000 (after a 20% discount).This is a midwife led delivery. Delivery by a Gynecologist is available at additional cost .
- Cesarean section (CS) delivery: Previously KES 100,000, now KES 80,000 (after a 20% discount).
- These charges only apply to hospital general patients. Charges for doctors’ fees (private patients) will vary as invoiced
Lipa Pole Pole Payment Plan
- The 20% discount is only applicable if the first 25% deposit is paid upon booking.
- Second and third installments (at least 25% each/according to mother’s capability – but totaling to 50% ) need to be paid by the 3rd trimester before/at admission for delivery.
- The final installment (25% / according to mother’s balance but totaling to 100%)
is due after delivery.
SHIF Package Deductions
- SHIF amounts of KES 10,000 for normal delivery and KES 30,000 for CS delivery will be netted off the discounted price. Please note that this benefit is only available if you are registered under SHA, and are up-to-date with contributions.
Inclusions
- Delivery services.
- Ward bed for 24 hours (normal delivery) and 3 days (CS delivery) for both mother and baby.
- Nursing care.
- Doctor’s reviews during the ward stay.
- Drugs and dressings.
- Initial immunizations: BCG and Polio.
Exclusions
- Vacuum delivery.
- Anti-D injections for Rhesus-negative mothers.
- Blood transfusions.
- Incubator treatment for prematurity, phototherapy for jaundice, or treatment of congenital conditions, respiratory distress, or other neonatal illnesses.
- Formula feeds.
- Suturing of episiotomy in theatre (following SVD).
- Removal of placenta in theatre (following SVD).
- Any charges incurred after 2 days for normal delivery or 3 days for CS delivery.
- Consultations or treatments by other specialists.
- Illness in babies after discharge.
- Vaccines not included in the KEPI regime.
- Treatment of other conditions or complications from underlying conditions.
- Critical care services (ICU/HDU).
