The Nairobi Women’s Hospital (NWH) has opened an operating theatre to cater for the increased demand for specialised healthcare services in the coastal region.

The new theatre will enable the Hospital to perform major and minor surgeries as well caesarean section deliveries. NWH has additionally introduced CT-Scan services to cater for the growing need for specialised outpatient services.

“We continue to make investments in our service offerings. The new theatre gives our customers, in Mombasa County, twenty four hours access to quality and affordable healthcare services,” said Dr. Chris Abeid, Chief Executive Officer of The Nairobi Women’s Hospital.

The latest investment by NWH comes on the back of the Hospital launching CT scan services in Nakuru.

NWH in mid-year also introduced a 34 bed COVID-19 isolation and treatment centre in the Ongata Rongai Branch, suburb of Kajiado County, a Molecular laboratory at its Hurlingham Branch in Nairobi County and the hospitals’ tele-consultation platform that ensures that patients continue seeking services from their preferred doctors without necessarily visiting the Hospital’s facilities in line with the Government’s COVID-19 preventative guidelines.
